This beauty is painted in a deep high gloss black and the red and black interior gives just the right amount of color. Shiny Cragar SS wheels are always a good fit and let onlookers know this 57 Chevy isnt stock. They are wrapped in radial tires that look great and make for a much better ride quality. The power is provided by a 383-stroker with dual quads on an Edelbrock intake. An MSD 6AL ignition provides a sure spark and the exhaust is routed through Hedman headers and dual exhaust. The engine is kept cool with a Be Cool aluminum radiator with chrome electric fan. The A/C works great and blows cold! Power steering and brakes make navigating this big Chevy an absolute pleasure. The interior is restored with correct red and black cloth and vinyl bench seats with seat belts. A tilt column has been added but retains the correct factory steering wheel. These 57 Bel Airs are known for their abundance of bright work inside, and this car has it all. Accented nicely with a gray dash, an AM/FM/Cassette player, extra gauges under the dash and a tachometer. That tach will come in handy since this street rod has a 4-speed manual transmission! A Hurst shifter keeps you in control while traction bars make sure all the power makes it to the ground. The trunk is finished off nicely with a spare tire and rubber trunk mat and has plenty of room for your cooler and lawn chairs. There is a reason the 57 Chevrolet Bel Air is an American Icon, and this example gives us a good reminder of why we cant get enough of them.
