1973 VW Thing, Rebuilt Motor and Transmission 2017, Excellent Condition !!!
Please visit www.Survivor-Cars.com for additional photos, information and a video. This vehicle is available for viewing by appointment only. Please call us to schedule an appointment. Check out this cool Caribbean style 1973 VW Thing. The colors makes it the perfect fun in the sun beach cruiser and looks like it came right from the Caribbean!
This cool VW Thing has a full soft top with removable top halves for the doors that match. The windows slide open for nice ventilation and close to keep the weather out. Heading to the beach? The soft top folds down and the windows slide right out and store in vinyl bags in the trunk. Or, remove the soft top completely if you prefer. You don't have to worry about anyone getting into the trunk, as it has a hole on the release where a small lock can be placed for added security.
The Tan and Brown finish really gives this a safari look and feel. With the top and interior completely redone in black, Butterscotch and Rootbeer it really pops and looks amazing. “It can be anything” Volkswagen proclaimed when announcing the VW Thing. They weren't lying! It's an SUV, a car, a beach cruiser and even drives like a go cart! Inside you see black vinyl bucket seats with a fold down rear seat when more storage room is needed. Under the hood is a rebuilt 1776 CC 4-cylinder engine installed in 2017 mated to a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission.
This 1973 VW Thing is in excellent shape and looks safari ready. This VW had a rebuilt motor installed in 2017 and approximately only1000 miles has been put on the vehicle since the motor was installed. The current owner has loved his VW for the last 30 years and has kept it in the garage. If your looking for an exceptional VW you have landed on the right one with all the right looks and an excellent restoration.
