Very Cool 1949 Willy's Jeepster Restomod with 350CID V8 & Automatic Transmission

Originally produced by Willys-Overland from 1948 until 1950, the Jeepster was developed to fill a gap in the company's product line for passenger automobiles, and boy do we love them! Especially when someone shoehorns a V8 under the hood, like this example!

This example is finished in a bright yellow paint job and the chrome trim wraps around the Jeepster and pops nicely. Correct steel wheels and chrome center caps help to complete the exterior look of the Jeepster along with radial tires with portawall whitewalls.

While yellow paint can be tricky, this Willys flaunts it as the maroon vinyl interior with white piping on the 70/30 split bench seat helps to create separation as does the tan convertible top. A parade boot is included to keep things tidy when you are leaving the top down for the day. A tilt steering column makes getting in and out a breeze and original gauges look right in place on the dash. Auxiliary oil pressure, water temp, and voltage gauges have been added to keep you better informed.

The mechanics of this Jeepster are what make it stand out from the crowd. Gone is the Lightning 161 CID 6-cylinder paired to a three-on-the-tree. Instead you get the power and reliability of the Chevrolet 350 CID V8 and an automatic transmission. Tight manual steering and power front disc brakes all combine to give you the true feel of rocking a Willys just a little easier!! Other features include a Holley 4bbl carburetor, aluminum radiator, 12 volt conversion, and long tube headers feeding a dual exhaust, A clean and clear title accompanies this Jeepster to the proud new owner!
