British Racing Green drop top sports car! Priced to move! Peppy and fun classic!
Please visit www.Survivor-Cars.com for additional photos, information, and a video. This vehicle is available for viewing by appointment only. Please call us to schedule an appointment. Announced in February 1964, the Mark III BJ8 remained in production until the end of 1967 when manufacture of the Austin-Healey 3000 ceased and went on as the “best known” of the big Healey models.
Built in England, Austin-Healey's have a long history in the world of racing. For the MKIII, power increased from 136 bhp to 150 bhp by a new higher lift camshaft. Power-assisted braking became standard instead of optional. The new car's fascia displayed its speedometer and tachometer directly in front of the driver.
This example is finished in the ever-desirable British Racing Green with a black convertible top that has been well-cared for. Wire wheels are protected by Vredestein tires that have healthy tread life. The chrome around the bumpers presents well and breaks up the unicolor body.
Open the hood and the believed to be the original 3.0L Inline-6 is in good health. Pair that engine with the 4 speed manual with overdrive and a chassis that weighs 2,500lbs and this driver is ready to make you grin!
